Menu: Potbelly box lunch - Toasted sandwiches (ham, turkey or mediterranean/veggie) with chips, soda and an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie

Abstract: Many key contributions to the field of chemistry happen to have been made by Russians. Specifically, in the field of organic chemistry, the history of Russian influence is hard to overstate. The winner of the 2019 Markovnikov medal from Moscow State University will speak on Markovnikov, the origin of his famous rule, and his experiences examining Markovnikov's laboratory notebooks.
