CHEMISTS IN THE LIBRARY
"If they can reach up to the height of the table, they're okay."
The Chemists in the Library program of the Minnesota ACS section visits a different community library in Saint Paul or Hennepin County once a month to perform free hands-on activities with kids of all ages. Most events are on Saturday afternoons, which makes them easy to attend for the volunteers, who are chemists from the University of Minnesota, local colleges, and industry. This results not only in great outreach but also excellent networking opportunities for the volunteers. Each event lasts for 2 hours (volunteers are asked to come to the event 30 minutes in advance to help set up things). Please contact Phil Buhlmann by email if you plan to volunteer, or if you have any questions. (click on "Contact Us" link for contact info).
