Each year our section recognizes individuals that have contributed to our community through their volunteer efforts, teaching, or work achievements in chemistry or related fields. This year we are offering multiple awards including: Audrey Sherman, the Minnesota Award for outstanding contributions in chemical research or service; Gary Kwong, the Lyle Hall Senior Chemist Award for post-retirement professional activities; Jenna Lundquist, the Janet Tarino Volunteer Award for outstanding volunteer service to Minnesota ACS; and Linda Nanko-Yeager, the Outreach Volunteer of the Year Award to a member for long standing efforts in outreach programs. In addition, MN ACS recognizes those that have maintained memberships of fifty years or more in the American Chemical Society.

We will be following state safety guidelines for Covid 19. Please bring a mask. The hotel has promised to work with us to provide as safe an environment as possible. The meeting room will be sanitized prior to our attendance, hand sanitizer will be available, all guests will be widely spaced at tables, and food will be served to guests by an attendant properly masked and gloved. Menu: BBQ buffet by Green Mill

Fresh baked bread, green beans and potatoes, BBQ pulled pork and diablo chicken, non-alcoholic beverage of choice
